Jennifer Cole, a 30 year old woman with a disability, has been the Founder, Director and Resident Geek of GimpGirl Community since 1998. Jen (known on-line as JennyLin) has a long history in both disability and technical concerns. She ran a statewide Internet Service Provider with friends in California from 1997 to 2003. She was accepted in to and has been involved in the Disabilities, Opportunities and Internetworking Technology (DO-IT) Program at the University of Washington since 1994. She was also on the Disabilities Task Force for the Mayor of Tacoma, Washington as the elected Treasurer during her senior year in high school. She loves doing research, organizing data, and intermittently studying human biology and ecology, along with reading various kinds of books and watching tons of anime with her husband.

I am a person who likes to surround herself with socially conscious, autonomous, intelligent, hard-working, honest, purposeful, stable, open-minded, respectful, fun folks who have a fierce personal integrity and a strong sense of family (not necessarily the traditional definition of "family"). I respect people who are accepting, but not acquiescing; social, but not extraordinarily extroverted; spiritual, but not religious; loyal, but not clingy. I highly enjoy people who are active, true to their values, and musically diverse.
